In 2001, after retiring with 35+ years within the petroleum industry, Harvey Malcom felt there was a need to educate drivers on emergency response. He developed the ASERT Fire and Spills Program to ensure all drivers had the knowledge necessary to respond to any emergency situation. Today, the ASERT Program has proven itself to be a crucial part in maintaining safety standards as well as increasing awareness on Fire and Spills safety through out many different industries.

This training equips participants to identify and assess hazards that can give rise to fires.

This course equips participants with a basic understanding of fire safety and fire extinguishers. Participants will learn fire safety basics, including the combustion process and the different classes of fires. The course also covers the safe and effective use of fire extinguishers and will prepare you and your employees to successfully put out a fire, with indoor fire extinguisher simulator training.

The course provides participants a general understanding of the safe and efficient operation of an industrial/construction powered fork truck, to help companies comply with OHSA regulations..
